Welcome to my research website.
Curiosity has been the defining force of my academic journey. From my earliest studies in chemistry to my later exploration of artificial intelligence, education, and philosophy, I have been motivated by a simple yet profound belief: the most important questions about our world rarely belong to a single discipline. Understanding reality, intelligence, consciousness, learning, or the nature of knowledge requires perspectives that extend beyond conventional academic boundaries. It is this conviction that has shaped my work as a researcher, educator, and author.
I am Nohil Maheshbhai Kodiyatar, an Indian researcher, science educator, author, and independent interdisciplinary scholar. My academic background includes a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Physical and Material Chemistry, a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Science & Mathematics, and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Chemistry. This combination of scientific training and educational practice has allowed me to develop an approach to research that values analytical rigor, conceptual clarity, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
My professional journey has combined scientific research with classroom teaching. As a science educator, I have taught learners at both the primary and higher secondary levels, helping students develop scientific reasoning, critical thinking, and conceptual understanding. Teaching has continually influenced my research by reminding me that knowledge acquires its greatest value when it can be communicated clearly, questioned critically, and applied meaningfully. At the same time, my involvement in academic writing and scholarly publishing has enabled me to investigate scientific and philosophical questions beyond the classroom.
Although chemistry provided the foundation of my academic training, my intellectual interests gradually expanded into artificial intelligence, philosophy of science, ontology, consciousness studies, cognitive science, education, and complex systems. Rather than viewing these fields as separate areas of specialization, I consider them interconnected perspectives for investigating fundamental questions about existence, intelligence, information, and human understanding. Many of my research projects seek to establish conceptual bridges between empirical science and philosophical inquiry, recognizing that scientific discoveries often raise philosophical questions, while philosophical reflection can inspire new directions for scientific investigation.
My research philosophy is grounded in interdisciplinarity. Modern scientific challenges—from artificial intelligence and scientific discovery to education and human cognition—cannot always be understood through isolated disciplinary frameworks. Progress increasingly depends upon collaboration between scientists, educators, philosophers, engineers, and computational researchers. My work therefore aims to integrate diverse methods and perspectives while maintaining rigorous standards of evidence, logical reasoning, and scholarly communication.
The central questions that motivate my research include:
- What is the nature of reality and existence?
- How does intelligence emerge in biological and artificial systems?
- Can artificial intelligence become a genuine collaborator in scientific discovery?
- How should education evolve in an era increasingly shaped by intelligent technologies?
- What relationships exist between time, information, consciousness, and human knowledge?
- How can interdisciplinary research generate new theoretical frameworks capable of advancing both science and philosophy?
These questions have inspired research across multiple disciplines, including chemistry, education, artificial intelligence, environmental science, psychology, philosophy, ontology, and consciousness studies. My objective is not merely to answer isolated questions but to develop conceptual frameworks that reveal connections between different domains of knowledge and encourage new ways of thinking about longstanding scientific and philosophical problems.
My research interests currently include artificial intelligence, theoretical and computational chemistry, physical and material chemistry, machine learning for scientific discovery, science education, learning sciences, educational technology, philosophy of science, ontology, epistemology, consciousness studies, cognitive science, complex systems, emergent intelligence, scientific methodology, and interdisciplinary research. These diverse interests are united by a common goal: understanding how knowledge is generated, organized, communicated, and applied to solve complex problems that transcend traditional disciplinary boundaries.
Research has also become an important means of contributing to the broader academic community. Over the years, I have authored and co-authored books, peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, research proposals, and scholarly preprints covering a wide range of topics. My publications reflect both theoretical inquiry and practical application, addressing subjects such as artificial intelligence in chemistry, educational development, ontology, environmental sustainability, biodiversity, psychology, scientific publishing, astronomy, and digital technologies.
Beyond publishing, I regard research as a continuous process of learning rather than a collection of completed results. Every study, manuscript, or book represents one stage in a larger intellectual journey. New evidence, constructive criticism, and interdisciplinary dialogue remain essential for refining ideas and advancing understanding. Consequently, I welcome thoughtful discussion and academic collaboration with researchers, educators, students, and professionals from diverse backgrounds who share an interest in exploring complex questions through careful reasoning and scientific inquiry.
This website serves as the central repository of my academic work. Here you will find my published books, journal articles, book chapters, research proposals, preprints, educational resources, essays, and ongoing research projects. It is intended not only as a record of completed work but also as a platform for sharing ideas, encouraging interdisciplinary dialogue, and supporting open scholarly communication. Whether your interests lie in chemistry, artificial intelligence, philosophy, education, or emerging interdisciplinary fields, I hope this website offers valuable insights and stimulates further exploration.
Knowledge advances through curiosity, critical thinking, and collaboration. My aspiration is to contribute, in however modest a way, to that continuing pursuit of understanding by integrating scientific evidence, educational practice, and philosophical reflection into research that is both intellectually rigorous and broadly accessible.
Publications and Scholarly Contributions
Research is more than the publication of results; it is an ongoing process of questioning, investigating, refining ideas, and sharing knowledge with the wider academic community. Throughout my academic journey, I have sought to contribute to interdisciplinary scholarship through books, peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, research proposals, and preprints. My publications span chemistry, artificial intelligence, education, philosophy, environmental science, psychology, astronomy, and complex systems, reflecting my commitment to exploring both specialized scientific problems and broader theoretical questions.
I believe that scholarly communication should remain open, accessible, and interdisciplinary. Consequently, many of my research outputs are available through open-access repositories with persistent Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs), ensuring long-term accessibility and citation.
